GMO Free PA, Delaware County Chapter Monthly Meeting

During the GMO Free PA Delaware County Chapter’s inaugural, monthly meeting, we will discuss a brief history of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) and how they have worked their way into a large portion of our food supply, how much of the feed for our livestock is GMO and how GMOs impact our environment.

GMO Free PA was founded in order to raise awareness and educate consumers on the implications of the ongoing genetic engineering of our food supply. We believe that all genetically modified ingredients should be listed on all food labels, not only here in PA, but in the rest of the country. This is why our 501(c)(4), non-profit organization was founded and this is why we are asking you to join us in this endeavor to educate your family and friends, to let them know why we believe that it is our right to know what is in our food. We support SB653, PA’s bill for mandatory GMO labeling.

After the discussion we will be watching the abridged version of ”Genetic Roulette - The Gamble Of Our Lives” an award winning documentary from Jeffery Smith, founder of the Institute for Responsible Technology.

“Never-Before-Seen-Evidence points to genetically engineered foods as a major contributor to rising disease rates in the US population, especially among children. Gastrointestinal disorders, allergies, inflammatory diseases, and infertility are just some of the problems implicated in humans, pets, livestock, and lab animals that eat genetically modified soybeans and corn.”

After the movie, we will have an interactive Q & A session, You will also have an opportunity to sign up for our monthly newsletter and review our educational materials.

WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!
