Community Corner

Greater Philadelphia Tour de Cure Bike Ride

Tour de Cure is more than just a cycling event - it's a life-changing
event. Temple University’s lovely, green Ambler Campus serves as the picture
perfect venue for the Tour de Cure experience and Community Health and
Wellness Festival.  The ride takes place on tree-lined roads in Bucks and
Montgomery counties, and the festival takes place on the Ambler Campus. Tour de
Cure is a ride, not a race, with routes designed for everyone from the
occasional rider to the experienced cyclist. The ride has five routes 100, 63,
35, 12 or a 3 mile Family Fun ride. Participants are pampered—with full SAG
support, rest stops, food to fuel the journey, fans to cheer them home, and a
hero’s welcome at the Finish Line.

From the time breakfast is served until the last rider returns in the late
afternoon, there is a festival atmosphere on Temple’s campus—with music, health
and wellness activities, entertainment, and special activities for children of
all ages. Family, friends and coworkers return year after year to ride, raise
money, and help stop America's fastest growing disease.
