HAPPINESS WEEK - DAY TWO!

It’s Day Two of Happiness Week in Media! Transition Town Media
invites you to join us and many other area organizations in celebrating the
things that make us happy – art, music, nature, our health, our families, our
community and its great spirit of fun!

April 23rd – Studies in Happiness

Find out what's happening in Mediawith free, real-time updates from Patch.



Our
Common Happiness
, 7:30-9pm, Media Community Center, 4th &
Jackson Sts, Media PA 19063. Join us for a public dialog on our Common
Happiness with James Quilligan and Dr. Joni Carley, experts on cultural
development who will be talking about why happiness isn’t just fluffy stuff and
how prioritizing happiness and wellbeing matters economically, politically and
socially. We invite you to take part in this discussion which may stretch what
you think about our priorities in life and society.



Tyler
Arboretum
, 515 Painter Rd, Media PA 19063, will be hosting a Spring Bird
Walk from 8:15-10:15 am and a Weekday Wildflower Walk from 11am-1 pm.

The
Media Borough Recreation Board
will hold a Senior Aerobics
Class in the Community Center, 4th & Jackson St, Media 19063, 10:30-11:30
am.



Three restaurants in Media, Picasso’s,
36 State St, La Belle Epoque, 38
W State St, and Diego’s, 214 W State
St, will be having Happiness Specials, 4-6 pm.



Suggestions for the day? Practice random acts of kindness - feed
someone's parking meter, take a homeless person to lunch, smile and say hello
to everyone you pass on the street, stop in and visit an elderly person who
might be lonely, take a moment to appreciate how being a community can make us
happy.
