Alva Mullikin, 102, of Media

Alva was a choir member and taught Sunday School at Grace Lutheran Church in Drexel Hill. She graduated from Upper Darby High School and attended Pierce Business College. She worked for Quick & Bros. real estate in Philadelphia during the war years. She worked at a doctors office, in banking and was a private secretary at Boeing Vertol for 10 years before she retired. Alva made natural tree ornaments with the Brandywine Museum, decorating the 1984 Nancy and Ronald Reagan White House Christmas tree. Alva moved to Lima Estates in Media in 2001 where she resided the past 12 years. [Legacy.com/philly.com]

Frances Ambler, 82, of Media

Fran graduated from Friends Central School and the University of Pennsylvania. She taught Home Economics for many years at Springton Lake Middle School and also coached girls field hockey and lacrosse. [Legacy.com/Delco Times]

Elizabeth Bell, 79, a formerly of Media

Elizabeth's professional career comprised a rich diversity of positions including Teacher at the School in Rose Valley, head of the Delaware County Council for Literacy, Psychology Professor, Family Practice Physician, and most recently, author of her first novel, "Arbor Lane." She received numerous honors and awards throughout her career including selection as "Woman of the Year" in Media and recognition as one the "Tops Docs" in Delaware. [Legacy.com/Delco Times]

Henry Mack, 93, of Media

Henry was Chairman of the Adult School Board at Penncrest High School and was a volunteer in Thresholds of Delaware County, teaching decision making to prisoners. He was a parishioner of the Church of Nativity BVM in Media and the beloved husband of the late Rosemary A. Carter Mack who died in 2004. [Legacy.com/Delco Times]

Elizabeth McGeary, 85, of Media

Betty Lou was born and raised in Media and was a graduated of Media High School. She worked for many years as a seamstress. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and she loved and cared for animals. She was also a former member of the Media Presbyterian Church. [Legacy.com/Delco Times]
