The 1961 Time Capsule, found during construction of the new Emergency Department, will be placed back to a resting place in the walls of Riddle Hospital, holding copies of the original contents as well as suggestions from employees, such as a current nurse’s uniform and a flash drive with present-day videos and photos. Among the 50-year-old-discovered documents were a hand-typed essay entitled “The Saga of Sam Riddle” written by former editor of the Daily Times, Arden Skidmore and Sam Riddle’s Last Will and Testament, deeding 72 acres and $2.5 million to build a hospital.
