Dance at the Mansion—Dec. 3 at Ridley Creek State Park

Annual holiday dance at Ridley Creek State Park in December with the Highballs and Penncrest Choir the Ambassadors.

 

Fall is quickly approaching, with falling leaves and the unpacking of sweaters, but The Friends of are already thinking about December and their upcoming annual holiday "Dance at the Mansion!"  

Imagine this magical country mansion, known as , with a dusting of snow, decorated for the holidays and filled with a night of lively entertainment, food and dancing.

The evening will start off with a warm greeting by 's Choir, The Ambassadors. Bring your dancing shoes, because The Highballs will be returning once again to heat up the dance floor with premium party music from the 70s and beyond. Both groups have established a tradition with the Friends with this annual holiday dance. As always, interested guests will be treated to open bar (beer and wine only), delectable holiday fare and a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the elegant mansion which was designed in the early 1900's by renowned Philadelphia architect Wilson Eyre.

"The dance has developed a loyal following over the years and guests from last year's event are already calling about when they can buy their tickets," said Carol Rubin, organizer of the popular event.

So, make your reservations early. There will be limited tickets at the door.

The event is being held at the Mansion (Park Headquarters) at Ridley Creek State Park in Edgmont on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $40/$35 for members. Call 610-565-3877 for information or check www.friendsofrcsp.org for details.
