A 47-year-old woman faces charges after police say she stole $16,000 worth of toothbrushes.

Between September and November 2012, Beate Proeller, 47, of Annapolis, MD, stole 200 high-priced electronic toothbrushes from Kohl's department stores in Middletown Township and Morton, according to State Police, who reported the value of the toothbrushes at more than $16,000 retail.

Proeller was charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property in District Court 32-2-48 and a warrant was issued for her arrest on Feb. 28, according to State Police.

She created fraudulent price tags and placed them over the original price tags on the products, according to State Police, then the fake price tags would ring up at a value significantly less than the true retail value.

Proeller uses aliases of Beate Proller, Beate Kanamine and Beate Brandl, according to State Police.

Anyone who may know the whereabouts of Proeller or who many have any information is asked to contact Trooper Jon Sunderlin at 484-840-1000.

Trooper Sunderlin have you reached out to the Kohl's ORC (Organized Retail Crime ) people ? They can help you find this lady. There is a database for L/E and Loss Prevention that they can help you with your investigation if you haven't been told yet.

Poor woman nothing. She is a thief and must pay for her wrong actions.

That is no excuse for her to steal. She is a thief and she has to face jail time.
