Blotter: $1,000 Stolen from Yogurt Shop

Plus: Multiple items were stolen in another Middletown burglary.

The following Middletown and Edgmont township incidents have been supplied by the Pennsylvania State Police-Media Barracks. Anyone with information regarding any of these incidents is asked to call police at 484-840-1000. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

 

Theft by Unlawful Taking—Yogo Factory in Edgmont Township between Nov. 28-29. Unknown persons gained access to the store through a rear door either by a key or picked lock, according to State Police. Onside inside, the persons went behind the counter were the register was located and removed a small, black lock box which contained about $1,000 and then fled the scene, according to State Police. Police are waiting on video surveillance footage.

DUI—Route 1 at Valley Road at about 7:43 p.m. on Nov. 29. A 41-year-old Drexel Hill woman was arrested for DUI, according to State Police.

Retail Theft—Sears at Granite Run Mall at about 4:22 p.m. on Nov. 29. Two 20-year-old women from Cheney entered the store and removed numerous items from the store without paying, according to State Police. The total value of the stolen items was $74 and $95.

Two-Vehicle Crash—Route 352 at Williamson Trade School at about 4:28 p.m. on Nov. 30. A Toyota Corolla, driven by a 20-year-old Newtown Square man, pulled out of the school's exit and failed to yield to a Toyota Camry traveling south in the left lane, according to State Police. The Corolla struck the Camry's passenger side door and the Camry had to be towed from the scene, according to State Police. A 19-year-old passenger in the Corolla sustained a wrist injury but neither of the drivers were injured, according to State Police, and all occupants were wearing seat belts. Riddle EMS assisted at the scene.

Burglary—E. Forge Road between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Dec. 4. Multiple items were stolen from a residence, according to State Police.
