Blotter: $1,500 Dirt Bike Stolen from Shed

A $300 pressure washer was also stolen from the Edgmont Township shed.

The following Middletown and Edgmont township incidents have been supplied by the Pennsylvania State Police-Media Barracks. Anyone with information regarding any of these incidents is asked to call police at 484-840-1000. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

Harassment—Middletown Fire Company at about 12:11 p.m. on Dec. 8. A Chester man and a Media man engaged in a mutual fight at a fire company Christmas party, according to State Police. Both men were cited for harassment.

DUI—Route 352 at Route 926 in Edgmont Township at about 2:51 a.m. on Dec. 7. A 2001 Honda Accord was observed by police as driving erratically after leaving Duffer's Pub, according to State Police. The vehicle swerved in and out of the lane and made a wide turn onto Rt. 926, according to State Police. After a traffic stop, it was determined the driver, a West Chester woman, was driving under the influence of alcohol, according to State Police.

Retail Theft—Sears at Granite Run Mall at about 2:45 p.m. on Dec. 7. An 18-year-old Chester woman removed and concealed various clothing items, which she did not pay for, according to State Police. The items were valued at $199. The woman was taken into custody and processed. Criminal misdemeanor charges were filed in District Court 32-2-48.

Retail Theft—Kohl's at Granite Run Mall at about 10:51 p.m. on Dec. 7. A 46-year-old Media woman entered the store, removed numerous items from the shelves and left the store without paying, according to State Police. The total value of the items was $36.

Theft of Motor Vehicle—Columbus Avenue in Edgmont Township between Dec. 2-3. Unknown persons gained entry inside a locked shed, which was located in the back yard of the home, cut a padlock and removed a Yamaha 250 dirt bike and an Excell pressure washer, according to State Police. The dirt bike was valued at $1,500 and the pressure washer valued at $300, according to State Police. The victim told police that the dirt bike had chains going through the tires and pointed out tire marks the bike made from being dragged across the property. The tire marks led to La Locanda Restaurant and video surveillance from the restaurant is being provided to police.

Theft by Unlawful Taking—Dartmouth Circle between Dec. 1-2. A landscaping trailer was parked in the resident's driveway and the following day a leaf blower was missing off the trailer, according to State Police. The orange and black leaf blower is an Echo backpack.

Theft, Fraud, Forgery—Spring Run in Middletown Township at about noon on Nov. 27. Unknown persons opened a Verizon Wireless account with the victim's social security number in order to purchase three cell phones, according to State Police. The victim did not have any fraudulent charges on the account because the suspect paid cash, according to State Police. The victim had the account terminated and was advised to contact the credit bureaus.
