Blotter: Man Points Gun in Road Rage Incident

Plus: A wallet was stolen at Granite Run Mall and the credit cards were then used at the Springfield Mall.

The following Middletown and Edgmont township incidents have been supplied by the Pennsylvania State Police-Media Barracks. Anyone with information regarding any of these incidents is asked to call police at 484-840-1000. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

Two-Car Crash—Route 352 near Forge Road at about 6:40 a.m. on Jan. 3. A Toyota Solara, driven by a 48-year-old Glen Mills woman, swerved to avoid striking a vehicle that had slowed abruptly in front of her and struck the driver side of a Mazda 2, which had been traveling in the opposite direction, according to State Police. The Mazda, driven by a 27-year-old Warrington woman, sustained moderate damage, including two flat tires and was towed from the scene. The Toyota sustained moderate damage, including a flat front tire but was driven from the scene, according to State Police. No one was injured.

DUI Crash—200 block of New Darlington Road at about 2:56 a.m. on Jan. 2. Police responded to a one-vehicle crash and the driver had fled the scene by the time police arrived. Police found the driver, a 21-year-old Media man, at his residence about 0.2 miles from the scene and he was determined to be under the influence of alcohol and was charged with DUI and related traffic offenses, according to State Police.

Theft—Victoria Secret at Granite Run Mall between 1:10 and 1:20 p.m. on Jan. 2. Unknown persons stole the victim's wallet while shopping, then left the store and went to the Springfield Mall and made several purchases at various stores using the victim's credit and debit cards, according to State Police. The incident is under investigation.

Aggravated Assault—Route 1 near Ridley Creek Road at about 3:10 p.m. on Jan. 1. Police responded to a road rage incident where Jeffrey Charles King, 31, was accused of pointing a handgun at the victim, according to State Police. King was taken into custody and charged.
