Blotter: 'Obama' Graffiti Sprayed on Fence

Plus: A vehicle and a SEPTA train were also vandalized with spray paint in two separate incidents.

Here is a list of recent incidents in Upper Providence Township reported by the Upper Providence Police Department. Anyone with information regarding any of these incidents is asked to call police at 610-566-8445. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

 

Criminal Mischief—400 block of W. Rose Tree Road between Nov. 30 and Dec. 3. Unknown persons spray painted the back side of a residence's privacy fencing that faces the Media Bypass area, according to police. Officers observed "OBAMA!!" spray painted in black paint on the fence and no other graffiti was found, according to police.

Criminal Mischief—200 block of State Road between 8 p.m. on Nov. 26 and 7 a.m. on Nov. 27. Unknown persons spray painted a green stripe down the driver's side of a 2007 Infinity G-35, according to police. The car owner told police she is not having any problems with anyone and no other vehicles in the small parking lot had been vandalized, according to police.

Criminal Mischief—300 block of Media Station Road at about 9:45 a.m. on Nov. 26. A SEPTA train mechanic reported that trains had been vandalized overnight. Large amounts of graffiti on three trains parked at the station were discovered, according to police. SEPTA Transit Police were also notified.
