Blotter: Thanksgiving Hit-And-Run Leaves Car Damaged

Plus: A man arrested in connection with a retail theft was found to be a wanted person and in possession of marijuana.

The following Middletown and Edgmont township incidents have been supplied by the Pennsylvania State Police-Media Barracks. Anyone with information regarding any of these incidents is asked to call police at 484-840-1000. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

Retail Theft—Boscov's at Granite Run Mall at about 2:35 p.m. on Nov. 27. Warren Wiley Ray, Jr., 55, of Brookhaven, entered the store, allegedly took $127.50 worth of merchandise and left the store without paying, according to State Police. Ray was arrested and charged in connection with retail theft. But after a records check, Ray was found to be a wanted person and was taken into custody by the Delaware County Sheriff's Office, according to State Police. Once at the Delaware County Prison, Ray was found to have a small amount of marijuana hidden on his person and additional charges were filed against him, according to State Police.

Retail Theft—Boscov's at Granite Run Mall at about 4:46 p.m. on Nov. 26. A Glen Riddle, Pa. woman was arrested in connection with retail theft from the store.

DUI—Barren Road near Arbor Circle at about 1:35 a.m. on Nov. 25. Police were dispatched for a report of a one-vehicle crash and the driver, a 19-year-old Newtown Square woman, was subsequently arrested for DUI, according to State Police.

Hit-And-Run—Route 1 near Pennell Road at about 4:29 p.m. on Nov. 22. A Ford Expedition and Cadillac CTS were traveling south on Route 1 and as both approached the red light at the intersection, the Expedition attempted to change lanes and struck the Cadillac, according to State Police. Both vehicles sustained minor damages and both drivers agreed to pull over just past the intersection, according to State Police. When the Cadillac pulled forward and to the side of the roadway, the Expedition made a left turn onto Pennell Road and fled the scene, according to State Police. No injuries were reported.
