Car Catches Fire On State Street

Flames and smoke shot from a car parked on State Street Tuesday morning.

Police and fire officials put out a car fire on State Street in Media Tuesday morning.

No one was injured in the fire, according to Media Police Chief Martin Wusinich.

Flames and smoke shot from the red Dodge parked in front of Head Quarters Salon at about 9 a.m. Tuesday.

The car was parked on the street and unattended, according to Wusinich.

Media Police and Media Fire Co. responded to the scene.

The fire was extinguished by about 9:15 a.m.

The car was towed from the scene by Keyes Towing and the scene was cleared by about 9:35 a.m.
