Elwyn Pharmacy Robbed at Gunpoint, Police Say

The Elwyn Pharmacy in Middletown Township was robbed Monday morning, police say.

The Elwyn Pharmacy in Middletown Township was robbed at gunpoint, according to Pennsylvania State Police-Media Barracks.

Two men went into the Elwyn Pharmacy at about 10:45 a.m. on March 25, according to State Police.

One of the men displayed a firearm and demanded money from an employee, according to State Police.

Both men then left the store.

The men wore masks and made off with about $100 from the register, according to the Delaware County Daily Times, and no one was harmed in the incident.

Witnesses told police the two men were seen getting into a vehicle on a nearby street and a Trainer Borough police officer spotted this same vehicle and followed it into Chester City, according to State Police.

A traffic stop was initiated and four males inside the vehicle were taken into custody, a 16- and 17-year-old, both from Chester, and a 29- and 42-year-old, both from Philadelphia, according to State Police.

The 16 year old and 17 year old were each charged with robbery, possession of firearm, terroristic threats, theft, receiving stolen property, simple assault, harassment, recklessly endangering another person and conspiracy, according to State Police.

The 29 year old and 42 year old were each charged with conspiracy, according to State Police.

All four men were arraigned on March 25 and bail was set at 10 percent of $200,000 for all four men.

The four men are currently remanded at Delaware County Prison. 

A preliminary hearings is set for April 2.
