Engagement Ring, Gun, Safe Stolen in Middletown Burglary

The are investigating a burglary that took place on Longfellow Lane between June 30 and July 7 in Middletown Township.
Unknown persons broke into the house through a back door by prying it open, according to State Police.
Once inside, the persons went into a first-story office and removed a small safe which contained passports, vehicle titles and other personal information, according to State Police, then proceeded upstairs to a master bedroom and went into a small dresser and removed the victim's diamond engagement ring with her initials engraved on the band, MRB, valued at $7,000, according to State Police.

Various items were also removed from a jewelry box on top of the dresser valued at about $5,000, according to State Police.
A Smith and Weston 9mm handgun, valued at $579, was also removed from a night stand in the master bedroom, according to State Police.
