Fire Companies Receive State Grants

Media Patch's local fire companies received funding from the state recently.

 

Media Patch's area fire companies each received grant money in the Pennsylvania Office of the State Fire Commissioner's Volunteer Fire Company, Volunteer Ambulance Service Grant Program (VFCVAS).

The State Fire Commissioner's Office reviewed the 2,713 applications and approved 2,665 applications for 2012-2013.

The final distribution to Fire Companies, statewide, totaled $26,400,000 and for Vounteer Ambulance Services totaled $3,600,000, according to Office of the State Fire Commissioner.

Below is what each local company received.

  • Lenni Heights Fire Company No. 1 — $13,116.29
  • Lima Fire Company No. 1-Fire — $10,400
  • Lima Fire Company No. 1-EMS — $6,651.49
  • Media Fire Hook and Ladder Company No. 1-Fire — $13,106.60
  • Media Fire Hook and Ladder Company No. 1-EMS — $6,651.49
  • Middletown Fire Company No. 1 — $13,116.29
  • Rose Tree Fire Company No. 1 — $13,116.29
