"Both Marple police and Newtown police responded to the scene in search of Cook, who had fled the scene after a neighbor, registered with their own handgun, approached Cook to release his 9mm Ruger." Slight Story Correction: Firearms are not registered in PA. In fact, firearm registration is illegal in our state. My hat goes off to the neighbor that acted swiftly and prevented a murder. I live one street down from where this happened and I'm very glad to hear my neighbors also choose to arm themselves. Wish I knew who he was, I'd buy him a beer and treat him to the range (different days of course). Each persons safety is an individual responsibility.
