Graduate Ring Stolen in Middletown Burglary

The Johns Hopkins graduate ring was valued at about $300, police say.

A ring was stolen in a recent burglary in Middletown Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police-Media Barracks. 

On Aug. 19, a Glenwood Circle resident left her home to travel to Maryland for work, according to police, and at about 1 a.m. on Aug. 20 a white man, driving a tan Ford pickup truck arrived at the home and removed three window screens in order to gain entry to the house. 

Two screens were removed from windows located in the basement and one screen was removed from a window located on the deck, according to police. 

After removing the screens, the man used force to enter the back door and once he was inside, he took a Johns Hopkins graduate ring, according to police. 

The ring was estimated to be worth about $300, according to police.
