She says watching her dad and brothers help the community as firefighters inspired her to join the Middletown Fire Company.

What do you like about your job?

I really like getting to meet new people, I made a lot of new friends. And being able to help the community and give back.

What do you dislike about your job?

I don't really dislike anything but I guess it can get boring waiting for a call.

What inspired you to become a firefighter?

I grew up here, my dad is chief and both my brothers are here. I watched them and the satisfaction they get from helping people, it just made me want to be a part of it. I was thinking about joining for couple years but wasn't sure if it was for me. So I joined, just to try it and I loved it. And my dad is very supportive, so it works out.

What do you like about the greater Media area?

All the people are really nice. It's not a small town but everyone knows everyone and people are always friendly and willing to help out.

What do you want the general public to know about the Middletown Fire Co.?

It's a close group here, we're all good friends and willing to help out and we all want each other to succeed. It's fun helping other people and making news friends, too.
