Media Patch wants you to get to know your first responders. They do dangerous work and Patch would like to recognize them. This first responder recently moved to Middletown Township from Georgia and is still working through his apprenticeship. He says he always had an eye on the firehouse and knew he wanted to volunteer and join the Middletown Fire Company.

How long have you been with the Middletown Fire Co.?
What do you like about your job?
It's a nice place to be, the people here are really nice. There's always something to keep you busy. I like helping people and I like being able to say I volunteer at the firehouse. I've always had an interested in fire fighting, ever since I was little.
What do you dislike about your job?
I don't really dislike anything. It has its boring parts, but what doesn't.
What inspired you to become a firefighter?
I always wanted to get involved in it in Georgia and then when I got up here, I wanted to volunteer somewhere and since I always had an eye on the firehouse anyway, I figured this would be the first place I'd try, and it worked out. I always just wanted to help people.
What do you like about the greater Media area?
I like the basic layout and its easy to learn where everything is. The people are really nice and its a homey place. People are quicker to help here compared to the South.
What do you want the general public to know about the Middletown Fire Co.?
We strive to keep everything running properly and we always try to get there as fast as we can. I honestly think we're a very great firehouse based on what I've seen.
