Not Quite the Same as Hailing a Taxi: According to a report from a 48-year-old Bala Cynwyd man waved down a police officer on the 100 block of City Avenue in front of Lord & Taylo and tried to get into the passenger door of the police car, which was locked, police said. The man was cited for public drunkenness upon sobering, police said.

Having Too Much Fun at a Water Park: According to a East Pikeland Police discovered a woman in the snack bar area of Phoenixville-area Water World under the influence of alcohol. The defendant, 53, from Spring City, was cited for public drunkenness and taken to her home.

Keep an Eye on Your 9-Iron: According to a report from in one June week, police responded to three reports of golf clubs being stolen from cars on Houghton, DuPont,and Roxborough streets. Two of the three incidents resulted in arrests.
