Police Car Struck in 2-Car Crash, Police Say

Also, a contractor is accused of taking prescription meds from a home where he was working, police say.

Theft by Unlawful Taking—500 block of S. Heilbron Drive in Middletown Township at about 4 p.m. on March 8. A 32-year-old Warminster man was arrested in connection with the theft of prescription medication from the victim's residence, according to State Police. The man was a contractor in the victim's home, installing a stove, according to State Police.

Two-Vehicle, Police-Involved Crash—Route 1 near Riddle Hospital entrance at about 3:35 p.m. on March 5. A State Police vehicle was traveling northbound with its emergency lights and siren activated when it slowed at the intersection for the entrance to Riddle Hospital due to a red traffic light, according to State Police. The driver looked both ways and proceeded through the intersection, according to State Police. But a Hyundai Elantra, driven by an 82-year-old Media woman, failed to yield to the police vehicle, proceeded through the intersection and struck the police vehicle on its passenger side rear, according to State Police. The 82-year-old driver sustained a minor injury to the head but refused treatment and no one else was injured, according to State Police. The Elantra sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene and the police vehicle sustained moderate damage but was driven from the scene, according to State Police.

Retail Theft—Kohl's at Granite Run Mall at about 3:23 p.m. on Feb. 26. Two Ridley Park women were accused of retail theft from the store.
