Police Respond to Several Retail Thefts in November

Retail thefts occurred at Boscov's JC Penney and Sears at the Granite Run Mall, police say.

The Pennsylvania State Police-Media Barracks responded to several retail thefts in November. 

Retail Theft—Boscov's at Granite Run Mall at about 3:31 p.m. on Nov. 15 two Media women entered the store and stole 15 items of clothing, valued at $298.94, by placing them into a large bag, according to State Police. Boscov's loss prevention officers followed the women, 20 and 24 years old, out of the store and they were apprehended, according to State Police. 

Retail Theft—JC Penney at Granite Run Mall at about 7:21 p.m. on Nov. 19. Two juveniles from Chester entered the store and removed various items from the store without paying, according to State Police. The two were charged, processed and released. 

Retain Theft—Boscov's at about 3:42 p.m. on Nov. 23. A 56-year-old woman entered the store and removed items without paying, according to State Police. She was charged, processed and released. 

Retail Theft—Sears at Granite Run Mall at about 5:13 p.m. on Nov. 25. A 19-year-old and 14-year-old stole items from the store, according to State Police. 

Retail Theft—Sears at about 5:39 p.m. on Nov. 27. A woman removed $290 worth of items which were recovered, according to State Police. 

Retail Theft—Boscov's at about 7:14 a.m. on Nov. 29. A 29-year-old Lansdowne man removed two items of clothing and accessories valued at $339.99 and left the store without paying, according to State Police.
