What do you like about your job?
It's like a big family. We all get along and have fun. We interact with the community and try to understand what the public needs.
What do you dislike about your job?
Nothing, I have a good time.
What inspired you to become a firefighter?
I used to work with a former chief, Matthew Possiant, and he asked me to come out. I came out and hang out and sat around and talked with the other firefighters and I've been here ever since.
What do you like about the greater Media area?
It's small and nice, quiet and peaceful and relaxed. The community is supportive of the fire department in making sure we have what we need and the township backs us up.
What do you want the general public to know about the South Media Fire Co.?
Everyone thinks it's not easy but it's easy dealing with the public. Most of us work full time and we'd like to get the community more involved and understand the principles of fire.
