State Police: 2 Men Charged Following Kohl's Retail Theft

Two men were arrested, charged and taken to Delaware County Prison in connection with a retail theft at near the recently, according to .

Shamir Conkey (aka Jawon Miller), 23, went into the store at about 2:10 p.m. on April 11 and removed several articles of clothing from the racks and went into a dressing room, according to State Police.

Conkey, of Wilmington, Del., came out of the dressing room with two bags filled and left the store, according to State Police.

A Kohl's Loss Prevention Officer confronted Conkey outside the store and he then started to run, dropped the two bags in the parking lot and ran towards Sears Auto, according to State Police.

The stolen items were later recovered and valued at $835, according to State Police.

Conkey was apprehended after a short foot pursuit, according to State Police.

State Troopers stopped and detained Daniel Buckner, 38, of Chester, who was driving a silver Dodge pickup truck and found later to be the alleged getaway driver, according to State Police.

Conkey were charged with retail theft and is currently being held at Delaware County Prison in lieu of 10 percent of $50,000 bail, according to court documents.

Buckner was charged with conspiracy to commit retail theft and receiving stolen property, according to court documents. He is currently being held at Delaware County Prison in lieu of 10 percent of $15,000 bail, according to court documents.
