Theft by Unlawful Taking— between 1:41 and 2:04 a.m. on Aug. 18. Unknown persons removed the rear rims and tires from two GMC Yukon Denalis and fled the scene westbound on Baltimore Pike, according to State Police.
Theft by Deception—Pritchard Place in Edgmont Township at about noon on Aug. 15. The victim wired a man $1,200 because he told the victim that he needed the money in order for his son to receive medical attention after a hit-and-run crash in London, according to State Police. This was later determined to be a scam.
Theft from Motor Vehicle—Darlington Park between 7 and 8 p.m. on Aug. 15. Unknown persons damaged a vehicle and attempted to steal items from inside, according to State Police.
Retail Theft— at at about 5 p.m. on Aug. 14. A 30-year-old Glenmore, Pa. woman took $213.98 worth of merchandise from the store without paying, according to State Police.
Fugitive from Justice—200 block of Hunter Lane at about 12:30 p.m. on Aug. 13. Robert Larry Lecates, of Salisbury, Maryland was seen by police driving a Nissan Altima on Route 1 and he was identified as wanted in Maryland and taken into custody, according to State Police.
Possession of Weapon on School Property—Rose Tree Media Academy at the Granite Run Mall at about 9:56 a.m. on Aug. 13. A 17-year-old man brought a necklace to school knowing that the necklace contained a concealed knife, according to State Police. The school confiscated the necklace/knife and no one was threatened or injured, according to State Police.
Theft from Motor Vehicle—Granite Run Mall parking lot near between noon and 5 p.m. on Aug. 12. Unknown persons pushed in the driver's side window and stole an iPod Touch from inside a Mitsubishi Lancer, according to State Police.
Theft from Motor Vehicle— between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 12. An unknown person smashed the passenger side window of a Chevrolet Impala, gained entry and stole a pack of cigarettes, according to State Police.
Commercial Burglary— on Pennell Road at about 11:35 p.m. on Aug. 12. A white man gained access inside the store and stole multiple items, according to State Police.
DUI—Baltimore Pike near School Lane at about 1:04 a.m. on Aug. 11. A 54-year-old Media man was stopped for numerous traffic violations and through an investigation was found to be intoxicated, according to State Police. He was arrested in connection with DUI and related offenses, according to State Police.
Theft—E. Knowlton Road between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Aug. 10. Unknown persons stole the victim's Oxycodone medications from her residence, according to State Police.
Retail Theft— at Granite Run Mall at about 3:45 p.m. on Aug. 10. A 20-year-old Wilmington, Del. woman entered the store and removed numerous items without paying, according to the State Police. The total retail value of the items was $682.33, according to State Police.
Simple Assault—Stephen Drive at about 8:52 p.m. on Aug. 9. A woman told police who arrived at the location that she was arguing with her fiance but she was uninjured, according to State Police. Her fiance told police that when the couple returned home, the woman grabbed the keys from the car ignition, opened the garage door, grabbed a stereo and threw it at the man, hitting him in the head, according to State Police. The man sustained a gash on his left temple and was bleeding when police arrived, according to State Police. The woman was taken into police custody but continued to scream at the man despite being told by police to stop and she refused to go in the police car and had to be physically restrained, according to State Police. The woman was transported to Media Barracks where she was processed.
