State Police Blotter: Woman Charged with DUI, Children in Car

Here is a list of recent incidents in Middletown and Edgmont townships reported by the . Anyone with information regarding any of these incidents is asked to call police at 484-840-1000. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

Burlgary—W. Knowlton Road between 7:30 and 11:37 a.m. on Nov. 1. Unknown persons smashed a rear window pane, entered the residence and stole a watch, State Police said.

Theft—Indian Lane School at approximately 10:45 a.m. on Nov 1. A female took a wallet out of the victim's purse, State Police said. The wallet was recovered and the incident is under investigation, State Police said.

Theft from Motor Vehicle—West Chester Pike in Edgmont Township between Oct. 31 and Nov. 1. Unknown persons slashed the rear windows of the victim's Jeep Wrangler while it was parked in front of Winner's Circle Restaurant, State Police said. The unknown persons removed a book bag containing various items and a $575 iPad, State Police said.

Car Crash—Route 452 and Glen Riddle Road at approximately 6:45 a.m. on Oct. 30. A Folsom driver lost control of her vehicle due to icy road conditions and struck a guiderail, State Police said. She was transported to for treatments, State Police said.

Theft—Meadowvale Lane between Oct. 29 and 31. Unknown persons took a lawn mower from a car port, State Police said.

Burlgary—S. Old Middletown Road between 12:30 and 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 29. Unknown persons forcibly gained entry to the residence and removed a TV and some jewelry, State Police said.

DUI Crash—Route 452 at Riddlewood Drive at approximately 10:26 p.m. on Oct. 28. A vehicle failed to stop for slowing traffic and rear ended another vehicle, State Police said. Diane Dellarocca, of Boothwyn, was susequently found to be under the influence of alcohol and arrested for DUI, State Police said. Charges were filed in District Court 32-2-48. Also in the vehicle with Dellarocca were her two minor children, ages unknown, and neither were injured in the crash, State Police said. Dellarocca sustained morderate injuries and was transported to Riddle Memorial Hospital, State Police said, and the driver of the second vehicle sustained minor injuries and was transported to Riddle Hospital. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were towed from the scene, State Police said.

Criminal Mischief—High Meadow Development between Oct. 27 and 28. Unknown persons launched three pumpkins at three separate vehicles at three separate locations, State Police said. The impacts from the pumpkins caused damage to the windshield of one vehicle and the rear trunk lids of two other vehicles, State Police said. None of the vehicles sustained disabling damage, State Police said.

Retail Theft— at Granite Run Mall at approximately 2:33 p.m. on Oct. 27. A 25-year-old Drexel Hill man put on a pair of sneakers that were displayed for sale and put his old sneakers in his back pack, State Police said. He then left the store without paying and a member of the Sears Loss Prevention Department stopped and detained the man in the parking lot, State Police said. Charges will be filed in District Court 32-2-48.

Retail Theft/Corruption of Minors—Sears at Granite Run Mall at approximately 6 p.m. on Oct. 27. An 18-year-old girl and 16-year-old girl, both from Chester, were observed removing items from the store valued at $437.91, State Police said. Both girls were processed and released.

Criminal Mischief—Defense Audit Agency on W. Baltimore Pike between 8 a.m. and noon on Oct. 27. Unknown persons slashed the victim's front passneger side tire, State Police said. The victim's vehicle was parked and unattended in the rear of the building, State Police said.

Criminal Attempt/Theft, Fraud and Forgery—Pritchard Place in Edgmont Township at approximately 7 p.m. on Oct. 26. An unknown male contacted the victim by phone and told her that she had been chosen at random and won $240 million and a Mercedes Benz, State Police said. The man told the victim that he needed her bank account information so he could transfer the money into her account and the victim provided the account information, State Police said. Realizing that she was being scammed, the victim changed her account information before any money had been taken out, State Police said.

Theft from Motor Vehicle—Ridley Creek State Park between 4 and 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 26. The victim's car was broken into and the driver's side door was punched, State Police said. Unknown persons removed a back pack which contained nothing of value, State Police said.

Burglary—S. Old Middletown Road between Oct. 23 and 25. An unknown person broke a pane of glass in a rear door of the victim's residence, State Police said. The victim reported two rings missing from inside a jewelry box, State Police said. No other items were reported to be missing.

Access Device Fraud—Ridley Creek Drive between noon and 2 p.m. on Oct. 25. State Police investigated the unauthorized use via the Internet of a debt card which was used to make four transactions totaling $1,137. 35, State Police said.
