State Police Blotter: Dine and Dash from Restaurant

Retail thefts and a minor car crash were also reported by the Pennsylvania State Police-Media Barracks.

Car Crash–on Route 1 near Valley Road at approximately 7:55 a.m. on Feb. 17. A Toyota 4Runner was traveling southbound and was behind a Ford Edge, according to State Police. The Ford Edge slowed for traffic and was rear ended by the Toyota 4Runner, according to State Police. No one was injured.

Retail Theft–Sears Department Store at the Granite Run Mall at approximately 5:20 p.m. on Feb. 14. A 20-year-old black man from Philadelphia was arrested, processed and released for attempting to leave the store without paying for merchandise valued at $62, according to State Police.

Theft of Service–Ruby Tuesday Restaurant at approximately 8:20 p.m. on Feb. 14. Three unknown black females who were approximately between the ages of 19 and 23 had dinner at the restaurant, according to State Police, after finishing dinner they left without paying the bill. All three women fled the scene in an unknown direction, according to State Police. The investigation continues.

Theft-Fraud Forgery–Moore Drive at approximately 12:21 a.m. on Feb. 13. The victim left her purse in the backseat of a taxi in Philadelphia and when the woman checked her bank accounts it was discovered her debit card had been used at a gas station, according to State Police. A report was filed with the Philadelphia Police Department in regard to the purse theft. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact the State Police-Media Barracks.

Retail Theft–Kohls Department Store at the Granite Run Mall at approximately 8 p.m. on Feb. 12. A 32-year-old white woman from Wilmington, Del. was accused of removing several bottles of cologne and perfume from the shelves and placing them in her purse, according to State Police. The woman left the store without paying for the merchandise, according to State Police. The woman was identified by Loss Prevention as a previous retail theft offender at other Kohls stores, according to State Police, and she was also previously arrested by State Police-Media Barracks and had active warrants out for her arrest in Delaware. Charges are pending in district court.

Access Device Fraud–W. Saint Andrews Drive on Feb. 8. Fraudulent purchases were made on the victim’s credit card, according to State Police. The investigation continues.
