State Police Blotter: Giving Alcohol to Minors, DUI and Criminal Mischief

State Police also reported a woman was arrested and charged with being in possession of heroin after stealing a pair of sunglasses.

Here is a list of recent incidents in Middletown Township reported by the . Anyone with information regarding any of these incidents is asked to call police at 484-840-1000.

 

Retain Theft–Sears Department Store at the Granite Run Mall at approximately 3:11 p.m. on March 20. A 21-year-old female from West Chester concealed $100 worth of merchandise and left the store, State Police said.

Criminal Mischief–E. Knowlton Road at approximately 4:58 p.m. on March 19. An unknown person traveling West down the road struck the mailbox and fence of the property, State Police said. The unknown person then fled the scene.

Car Crash–Route 1 near Route 352 overpass at approximately 7:05 a.m. on March 16. A Honda Odyssey was traveling in the left northbound lane and attempted to negotiate a curve at a high rate of speed, State Police said. Due to wet road conditions the driver lost control and rolled over on the left shoulder of the road, State Police said. The driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to Riddle Memorial Hospital, State Police said. There was no one else in the vehicle. The Honda sustained minor damages and was towed from the scene. The driver was cited for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.

Furnished/Sale to Minors–campsite at Lundgron and Convent roads between March 15 and 16. State Police said an Aston man furnished alcoholic beverages to four minors during a campsite party. Charges are to be filed.

DUI–Route 1 at Route 252 in Upper Providence Township at approximately 8:18 p.m. on March 14. Theodore William Bochanski, 30, of Folcroft, was arrested after police conducted a traffic stop for numerous traffic violations, State Police said. After speaking with Bochanski police determined Bockanski was under the influence of alcohol, State Police said. He was arrested for DUI and charges were filed in District Court 32-2-46.

Stolen Vehicle–Quality Inn Express at approximately 5 a.m. on March 14. A person stole a green Volkswagon Jetta with a Maryland license plate of 6FZA11, State Police said.

Theft by Unlawful Taking/Burglary–Public Storage in Edgmont Township between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. on March 13. An unknown person removed numerous power tools from a secured storage unit, State Police said. The total amount of stolen items was approximately $1,500, State Police said.

Retail Theft–Sears Department Store at Granite Run Mall at approximately 1:11 p.m. on March 11. A 19-year-old female from Upper Chichester took possession of a pair of sunglasses and left the store without paying for them, State Police said. A member of the Sears loss prevention department confronted and detained the woman until police arrived. The total amount of the stolen merchandise was $12.98, State Police said. It was later discovered the woman was also in possession of 28 small, ziplock bags containing suspected heroin, State Police said.

Criminal Mischief–Williamson Trade School at S. New Middletown Road between March 8 and March 10. An unknown person broke two side view mirrors off the victim’s vehicle, State Police said.
