State Police Blotter: Man Arrested in Connection with Heroin Possession

Drug Possession—Acme Supermarket parking lot at Granite Run Mall at approximately 7:56 p.m. on July 30. Ryan Michael Kenworthy, 24, of Media, was arrested in connection with drug and paraphernalia possession, State Police said. Kenworthy was observed sitting in a green Chevrolet Silverado with three bags of heroin lying near the base of the center consol, State Police said. Also in plain view were a needle and unpackaged heroin in a bottle cap, State Police said.

Theft by Unlawful Taking—Riddle Memorial Hospital at approximately 2 p.m. on July 30. A 33-year-old woman removed six vials of Adenosine from a medical cart in the hospital’s emergency room, State Police said. The woman was unable to conceal the items before being seen by hospital staff and was taken into police custody, State Police said.

Theft from a Motor Vehicle—Knowlton Road between 1:30 and 5:30 a.m. on July 29. Unknown persons removed hub caps from a pick up truck parked behind a residence, State Police said.

Harassment—Lenni Road at approximately 7:10 p.m. on July 29. A 22-year-old man struck, shoved and kicked the victim, a 42-year-old woman, State Police said.

DUI—Route 352 and Old Forge Road at approximately 1:30 a.m. on July 28. Carrie Casullo, of Downingtown, was arrested and charged in connection with driving under the influence of alcohol and related traffic offensives, State Police said. Casullo was observed driving erratically and determined to be driving under the influence, State Police said. Charges were filed in District Court 32-2-48.

Theft by Unlawful Taking—Videon Chrysler in Edgmont Township between 5 and 7 a.m. on July 27. While employees were entering the building unknown persons gained access to the master key cabinet located on a wall next to the entrance and removed at least three sets of keys, State Police said. The unknown persons then removed three vehicles from the parking lot of the car dealership and fled in an unknown direction, State Police said.

Retail Theft—Boscov’s at the Granite Run Mall at approximately 8:30 p.m. on July 27. A 22-year-old Asian woman from Upper Darby placed multiple jewelry items within a shirt and folded the shirt around the items, State Police said. She then placed the shirt in a bag and carried it out of the store without paying, State Police said. The total value of the stolen items was $230, State Police said.
