State Police Blotter: Man Attempts to Fill Fraudulent Oxycodone Prescription

Here is a list of recent incidents in Middletown and Edgmont townships reported by the . Anyone with information regarding any of these incidents is asked to call police at 484-840-1000. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

Criminal Mischief— at about 4:20 p.m. on April 17. The victim had his back passenger side window smashed, according to State Police. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.

Criminal Trespass—Connect America at about 8:22 p.m. on April 17. An employee, Matthew Kalesh, of Marcus Hook, was asked to leave by the staff and police and about 45 minutes later he returned and refused to leave, according to State Police. Kalesh was taken into custody without incident. He was highly intoxicated and was charged with defiant trespass, public intoxication, harassment and disorderly conduct, according to State Police.

Theft by Unlawful Taking/Receiving Stolen Property— property at about 11 a.m. on April 16. Unknown persons entered a residence on the property and took about 6-feet of copper piping from the plumbing system in the basement, according to State Police.

DUI—Sobriety checkpoint on Route 1 on April 14. Sainath Thyagarajan, 35, of Glen Mills was arrested and charged with DUI and related offenses, according to State Police. Charges were filed in District Court 32-2-48.

DUI—Route 1 at Valley Road at about 1:53 a.m. on April 13. A Clifton Heights man was stopped for vehicle violations and arrested in connection with driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, according to State Police.

Theft— at about 10 a.m. on April 13. Unknown persons stole the victim's wallet and made unauthorized purchases on his credit cards, according to State Police.

Theft— between 4 and 7:45 p.m. on April 10. An unknown person removed the victim's purse from a small cubby hole in the Governor's Inn room at Riddle Village, according to State Police.

Theft/Fraud/Forgery— at about 3 p.m. on April 10. A man approached the pharmacy and attempted to pass a fraudulent prescription for Oxycodone, according to State Police. The man left the store when the prescription could not be verified.

Retail Theft— at about 2:44 p.m. on April 10. Ashley Lynn Quattlebaum, of Philadelphia, was charged with retail theft, according to State Police. Quattlebaum walked into the store and attempted to steal two pairs of silver earrings valued at $30, according to State Police.

Theft—Antler Drive in Edgmont Township between April 8-10. Unknown persons removed a ring and two necklaces from the victim's jewelry box, according to State Police.

Theft—N. Middletown Road between March 30 and April 11. Unknown persons removed money from the victim's closet, according to State Police.
