State Police Blotter: Man Finds Credit Card, Charges $900

Here is a list of recent incidents in Middletown and Edgmont townships reported by the . Anyone with information regarding any of these incidents is asked to call police at 484-840-1000. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

Public Drunkenness—1000 block of W. Baltimore Pike at about 1:22 a.m. on Jan. 24. Police responded to a report of a person stumbling on the shoulder of the road near and when they arrived found a man and woman arguing and visibly intoxicated, according to State Police. Both were screaming loudly at each other on the side of the road and determined to be highly intoxicated as neither of them could maintain balance or put a coherent sentence together, according to State Police. Both were transported to Media Barracks and a relative picked them up. Multiple non-traffic citations were filed against both people, according to State Police.

One-Vehicle Crash—Barren Road at Ridley Creek State Park at about 12:34 p.m. on Jan. 21. A juvenile was traveling north on Barren Road when he lost control of his 1995 Honda Civic and slid off the roadway striking a PECO utility pole and snapping it in half, according to State Police. The vehicle sustained heavy front end damage and PECO responded to the scene, according to State Police. No one was injured.

One-Vehicle Crash—Delchester Road in Edgmont Township at about 9:13 a.m. on Jan. 21. A New Jersey man traveling toward Route 3 lost control of his 2005 Ford Explorer and slid off the roadway and up an embankment, according to State Police. The vehicle came to a stop after striking a tree and was towed from the scene, according to State Police. No one was injuried.

Theft/ID Theft— at at about 4:40 p.m. on Jan. 21. A woman lost her credit card in the mall and a white man, between the ages of 18 and 25, about 6 feet tall, with dark hair, used it to purchase $900 worth of goods at the Foot Locker, according to State Police. An investigation continues.

Public Drunkenness— at Granite Run Mall at about 12:21 a.m. on Jan. 21. A 22-year-old was found to be intoxicated and becoming a danger to himself or others, according to State Police.

DUI—Route 1 near Valley Road at about 3:18 a.m. on Jan. 20. A 23-year-old man was operating his vehicle with an expired registration and was found to be under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after being pulled over by police, according to State Police.

Retail Theft— at Granite Run Mall at approximately 8 p.m. on Jan. 20. A 25-year-old Kennett Square woman was observed by store management removing a dress and two pairs of jeans, valued at $69.60, from the store without paying for items, according to State Police. The woman was later detained by mall security, reported to police, charged and released, according to State Police.

Retail Theft— at Granite Run Mall at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 20. Two female juveniles from Broomall attempted to take items valued at $9 and $17 from the store, according to State Police. Both girls were confronted by store management, reported to police, charged and released to their parents, according to State Police.

Theft from a Motor Vehicle—Talbot Court between Jan. 17 and 20. Unknown persons cut the lock off a locked trailer and removed numerous snow blowers, shovels and gas cans, according to State Police.

Theft— at Granite Run Mall between Dec. 8 and Jan. 11. A 21-year-old Springfield man processed six fraudulent returns to the store and kept the money, according to State Police.
