State Police Blotter: Man Sends Email with Nude Photo to Victim's Boss

Here is a list of recent incidents in Middletown and Edgmont townships reported by the . Anyone with information regarding any of these incidents is asked to call police at 484-840-1000. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

Retail Theft—Sears at Granite Run Mall at approximately 3:14 p.m. on Sept. 12. Kiarra Shannell Collins, 23, of Chester, was arrested in connection with removing numerous articles of clothing and two handbags from the store without paying, State Police said. Collins was arrested at the scene, received a preliminary arraignment and was released on bail, State Police said. 

Criminal Mischief—Baltimore Pike northbound at School Lane at approximately 6:50 a.m. on Sept. 11. The rear windshield of a Dodge Grand Caravan was damaged by an unknown means as it was traveling down the roadway, State Police said. The Caravan remained operable but the window was shattered, State Police said.

Retail Theft—Sears at the Granite Run Mall at approximately 12:15 p.m. on Sept. 11. Two women from Lima entered the store and stole several hundred dollars worth of merchandise and left the store without paying, State Police said. Both women were apprehended and charges are pending, State Police said.

DUI—Routes 352 and 1 in Middletown Township at approximately 8:57 p.m. on Sept. 10. A 48-year-old man from West Chester was observed by police driving a blue Hyundai Sonata and crossed the white fog lanes several times, State Police said, and made an illegal left turn from Rt. 352 onto Rt. 1, State Police said. Upon further investigation the man was arrested for DUI and additional charges, State Police said.

Retail Theft—Sears at Granite Run Mall at approximately 10:43 a.m. on Sept. 9. A 22-year-old Yeadon man removed $91 worth of merchandise from the store without paying, State Police said.

Harassment—Rocky Run YMCA at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 8. A woman reported that she suspected a 20-year-old Harleysville man sent an anonymous e-mail with an attachment of a nude photo of her, to her boss, State Police said. The woman told police she had an idea who the man was based on grammatical errors in the e-mail, State Police said. Police spoke with the man and he confessed to sending the e-mail with the nude picture attached, State Police said. After being told the man confessed, the woman stated that she did not want to press charges, State Police said. No charges will be filed against the man, State Police said. 

Two-Car Crash—Route 3 and Providence Road at approximately 10:15 a.m. on Sept. 6. A 77-year-old Media woman was driving a 2011 Chevy Malibu on Rt. 3 eastbound and a 45-year-old Morton woman was driving a 2011 Ford Explore north on Providence Road, State Police said. The Malibu traveled through a red light causing the Explore to hit it at its front bumper, State Police said. The 77-year-old woman was transported to Riddle Memorial Hospital for minor injuries, State Police said.
