State Police Blotter: Mentally Ill Woman Missing; DUI Crash; Domestic Assault

Here is a list of recent incidents in Middletown and Edgmont townships reported by the . Anyone with information regarding any of these incidents is asked to call police at 484-840-1000.

 

Domestic Assault–East Dutton Mill Road at approximately 12:51 a.m. on May 15. A 44-year-old Middletown man become involved in a verbal argument with his ex-girlfriend and pushed the victim out of his apartment, State Police said. The victim got in her car and before the car door could be closed the man punched the victim four or five times in the face, State Police said. The victim pulled out of the driveway, drove down the street and called 911, State Police said.

Theft by Unlawful Taking–Sprint Store in the Granite Run Mall between 3 and 6 p.m. on May 14. An unknown person removed a black, Kyocera Echo cell phone from the Sprint Store and fled the mall, State Police said.

Theft from Motor Vehicle/Receiving Stolen Property–Ogden Court between May 10 and 11. An unknown person gained access inside the victim’s vehicle, which was parked outside the victim’s residence, and took an iPhone, State Police said. The total amount of the stolen property was approximately $300, State Police said.

Theft, Fraud, Forgery–BP Gas Station at Routes 452 and 1, between 6:30 and 9 p.m. on May 10. An unknown person gained access to the victim’s TD Bank debit card by an unknown means, State Police said. The unknown person then made purchases totaling $332.17, at the BP Gas Station and at the Macy’s store located at the Springfield Mall, State Police said.

DUI Crash–Route 1 at the Media bypass at approximately 3:05 p.m. on May 9. Tiffany Colli, 24, of Glen Mills, lost control of her vehicle while traveling north on the Media bypass, State Police said. The vehicle struck the guardrail and came to a rest, State Police said. Colli was found to be under the influence of controlled substance and arrested for DUI, State Police said. Charges are pending in District Court 32-2-48, State Police said.

Theft from Motor Vehicle–Bortondale Road between May 6 and 7. An unknown person went into an unlocked vehicle and took the victim’s purse which contained money and credit cards, State Police said. The unknown person took two credit cards and about $150 in cash, State Police said. One of the credit cards was used at Lukoil Gast Station in Woodlyn at 3 a.m. on May 7 for an unknown amount, State Police said.

Missing/Endangered Person–Elwyn Campus at approximately 3 a.m. on May 6. Patricia Ann Root, 60, of Elwyn Campus in Middletown Township, was last scene on the campus by Elwyn Campus Security, State Police said. Root left Elwyn and was seen at Brookhaven Wawa at 3 a.m. on May 6 and then made a withdraw from Brookhaven Citizens Bank branch at approximately 9:30 a.m., State Police said. Root made another withdrawl from the Springfield Mall Citizens Bank branch at 5 p.m. State Police said it was believed Root may have been trying to return to her last known address on Mary Street in Drexel Hill. Root is possibly schizophrenic and possibly has not taken her medication in three days, State Police said. She is described as approximately 5 foot 5 inches tall, 185 pounds, brown hair with gray mixed in and blue eyes. She is also missing her upper front, four teeth. Anyone who knows of Root’s whereabouts is asked to contact State Police.

Retail Theft–Wine and Spirits in Edgmont Township at approximately 8:50 p.m. on April 23. A black, heavyset man between the age of 40 and 50 years old, wearing a black jacket and jeans distracted the sole employee of the store while a black, heavyset female between the age of 40 and 50 years old, wearing black traditional Muslim clothing placed four bottles of liquor under her clothing, State Police said. The two then left the store without paying for any items, State Police said.

Thefts–Toys R Us on Baltimore Pike between April 1 and 19. A 20-year-old, of Upper Darby, stole movies and games from the store and sold them on the street, State Police said.
