State Police Blotter: Road Rage Leads to Drug Arrests

Here is a list of recent incidents in Middletown and Edgmont townships reported by the . Anyone with information regarding any of these incidents is asked to call police at 484-840-1000. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

DUI/Drug Possession/Theft—Media Bypass at Baltimore Pike on Sept. 19. Robert Perkins, 29, and Gabriel Buccino, 46, both of Brookhaven, were stopped by police after a road rage incident, State Police said. Buccino, the driver, was arrested in connection with DUI and possession of narcotics, State Police said. Perkins, the passenger, was arrested in connection with possession of narcotics and theft of lost property, State Police said. Both men were arraigned and transported to Delaware County Prison, State Police said. No other information was provided regarding the road rage incident.

Retail Theft— at Granite Run Mall at approximately 4:50 p.m. on Sept. 18. A 21-year-old Philadelphia woman removed multiple clothing items valued at $259 from the store without paying for them, State Police said.

DUI Crash—Mt. Alverno and Wynmoor Road at approximately 8:20 p.m. on Sept. 17. A 30-year-old white woman from Media was driving a 2007 Honda Civic southbound on Wynmoor Road near Mt. Alverno Road in a careless manner and struck an unoccupied, legally parked car, State Police said. The woman displayed signs of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, State Police said. She was processed and charges were filed in District Court 32-2-48, State Police said. The Civic sustained severe front end damage and it was unknown whether the woman sustained any injuries, State Police said.

Terroristic Threats— at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 17. Shawn Isham Roberts, 28, of Philadelphia, was charged in connection with making terroristic threats, State Police said. Roberts committed acts of violence by spitting, using curse words and throwing ice at the victim, State Police said. Roberts committed the crime with intent to cause a public inconvenience and terrorize the victim, State Police said. Charges were filed in District Court 32-2-48 for terroristic threats, harassment and persistent disorderly conduct, State Police said. Roberts is currently being held in Delaware County Prison for unrelated charges, State Police said.

Retail Theft—Granite Run Mall at approximately 8:17 p.m. on Sept. 16. A 26-year-old Philadelphia woman took $2,624.38 worth of merchandise from Victoria's Secret and The Children's Place, State Police said. Mall security attempted to confront her and she became combative and assaulted the mall security guard, State Police said.

Retail Theft—at Granite Run Mall at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 15. Three, black, juvenile woman, from Chester, removed $65 worth of merchandise from the store without paying, State Police said.

Scattering Rubbish—Providence Road in Edgmont Township at approximately 1:56 p.m. on Sept. 14. Two, white men, with brown hair driving a black pickup truck dumped a dishwasher, sink and garbage disposal outside the building, State Police said.

Retail Theft—at the Granite Run Mall at approximately 1:20 p.m. on Sept. 13. A 36-year-old Aston man took a Penn State baseball hat and left the store without paying for it, State Police said. Police were on the scene and took the man into custody in the parking lot, State Police said. The value of the stolen merchandise was $25, State Police said.

DUI—Route 1 near Media Bypass at approximately 2 p.m. on Sept. 10. Police stopped the driver of a Toyota Camry who committed traffic violations and the driver was arrested for DUI after exhibiting signs of impairment, State Police said.

DUI—Route 452 at Parkmount Road at approximately 1:21 p.m. on Sept. 7. Police observed a two-car crash and when the driver of one of the vehicles showed signs of impairment he was arrested for DUI and possession of heroin, State Police said.
