State Police Blotter: Safe Stolen From Residence

Here is a list of recent incidents in Middletown and Edgmont townships reported by the . Anyone with information regarding any of these incidents is asked to call police at 484-840-1000. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

Theft from Motor Vehicle— parking lot between 6:30 and 7 p.m. on Nov. 21. Unknown persons smashed the front passenger side window of a Toyota SUV and stole a Coach purse that was left on the front passenger seat, State Police said.

Burglary—Elwyn Hair and Nail Salon between Nov. 19 and 20. Unknown persons broke out the front door glass and removed the cash register drawer and tossed a book shelf, State Police said.

Burglary—Man O War Drive between 6:20 and 10:10 p.m. on Nov. 19. Unknown persons kicked open a rear door and went upstairs to a master bedroom and stole a safe, State Police said. About $5,000 cash was inside the safe, State Police said.

Theft, Fraud, Forgery—Old Baltimore Pike at approximately 9:20 a.m. on Nov. 19. Unknown persons stole three credit cards from the victim and used two of the cards at a Target and Wawa in Philadelphia, State Police said. The fraudulent charges totaled about $2,400, State Police said.

Burglary—Rampart West between 4:25 and 11 p.m. on Nov. 18. Unknown persons forcefully gained entry to the residence through a rear door and pried open the steel door frame, State Police said. The actors removed two jewelry chests containing various pieces of jewelry, State Police said.

Aggravated Assault/Disorderly Conduct—Van Leer Avenue at approximately 8:15 p.m. on Nov. 17. Police responded to a residence for a distriburance call and found a man screaming obscenities and he later grabbed a State Trooper and had to be subdued, State Police said. The man was arraigned in court and placed in the Delaware County jail in lieu of $100,000 or 10 percent, State Police said.

Theft from Motor Vehicle—Trattoria Giuseppe in Edgmont Township between 6:30 and 8:15 p.m. on Nov. 17. Unknown persons entered the victim's locked vehicle by removing the locked mechanism on the front driver side door and removed the victim's purse and book bag, according to State Police.
