State Police Blotter: Woman Strikes Man with Car

Here is a list of recent incidents in Middletown and Edgmont townships reported by the . Anyone with information regarding any of these incidents is asked to call police at 484-840-1000. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

Burglary—Wrights Lane between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. on June 12. The residence was broken in to and cash was stolen, according to State Police. 

Theft by Unlawful Taking—N. Middletown Road between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. on June 12. A light purple Amethyst ring with two diamond chips on each side with a gold band was stolen from the victim's room, according to State Police.

Retail Theft— at the between 5:10 and 5:20 p.m. on June 9. Two black men and a black woman entered the store and the woman and one of the men distracted the clerk while the other man took five game headsets from the rack and placed them in a bag, according to State Police. The man then removed two sets of ear buds from behind the counter, according to State Police. The three people remained in the store for about five minutes and then left, according to State Police.

Aggravated Assault by Vehicle while DUI—Bortondale Road near Knowlton Road at about 11:55 p.m. on June 8. A 23-year-old Chadds Ford woman, driving a 2006 Ford Fusion, struck a 29-year-old man with her vehicle, according to State Police. Through the course of the investigation it was determined that the woman was driving under the influence, according to State Police. The investigation is ongoing and charges were filed in District Court 32-2-48.

Theft—White Horse Village in Edgmont Township between May 29 and 30. Unknown persons gained entry into a construction trailer and removed copper and brass fittings, according to State Police.
