State Police Make 11 DUI Arrests During Increased Enforcement

A Delaware County sobriety check point and increased enforcement resulted in the investigation of 13 crashes, 11 DUI arrests and 102 issued citations last weekend, State Police announced.

Troopers from the investigated 13 crashes, made 11 DUI arrests and issued 102 citations following their participation in the national program Operation C.A.R.E. (Combined Accident Reduction Effort) and , according to State Police.

State Police as traffic increases. The State Police will focus their efforts on careless and aggressive drivers and arrest those drivers who chose to operate a vehicle while impaired from drugs or alcohol, according to State Police.

The State Police remind everyone to wear a seat belt and drive safely. Also, remember if the vehicle’s windshield wipers are operating then the headlights must also be on.
