State Police Report 3 Separate Identity Thefts

The Pennsylvania State Police-Media Barracks reported three recent attempted identity thefts in the Media Patch area.

On March 7, unknown persons used a Middletown Township resident's visa debit card in an attempt to purchase items in Jackson, Michigan, according to State Police. 

On March 22, unknown persons used a victim's debit card account in the amount of $229.56 to purchase items from a Walgreen's Store in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, according to State Police.

The victim's bank notified the victim of the fraudulent use and the card was canceled and the amount was reimbursed, according to State Police.

On March 24, unknown persons used a victim's debit card account in the amount of $115.54 to purchase items from a food store in Miami, Florida, according to State Police.

The victim's bank notified the victim of the fraudulent use and the card was canceled and the amount was reimbursed, according to State Police.
