Stolen Vehicle Set on Fire

A stolen vehicle was recovered after it was set on fire in the woods. No one was injured.

A stolen vehicle was recovered after it was set on fire in the woods, according to police and fire officials.

No one was injured.

Officials responded to the 900 block of W. Daffodil Lane in Middletown Township at about 2:45 a.m. on Oct. 17 for a report of a vehicle fire, according to Middletown Fire Chief Chip Lillie.

The 1997 Ford F-150 was located on a dirt trail just off Mt. Alverno Road by Chester Creek and was fully engulfed, according to State Police-Media Barracks.

The registration plate on the pick-up truck was still visible and an investigation revealed the truck was stolen, according to State Police.

Fire crews extinguished the fire and Lunogo's Towing assisted in winching the vehicle back out to the street.

The scene was cleared by about 5:30 a.m.

State Police, Middletown Fire Co., Lima Fire Co. and Aston Police Department responded to the scene.
