Suspicious Vehicle Parks in Driveway, Police Say

A resident returned home to find an unknown vehicle in his driveway, police say.

Here is a recent incident in Upper Providence Township reported by the Upper Providence Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

 

A suspicious vehicle was found parked in a resident's driveway between 1:15 and 1:30 p.m. on March 21, according to the report.

The resident arrived home to find a green Chevrolet van parked in his driveway on the 200 block of Highland Avenue, according to the report.

The man blocked the vehicle in and asked the driver, a white woman between the ages of 50 and 60, what she was doing, according to the report. The woman responded that she had been using his driveway to turn around when he pulled up, according to the report.

No one else was seen in the van or in the area at the time.

The man allowed the vehicle out of his driveway and it left the area, according to the report.

The man thought the incident was suspicious and made a report to police, providing them with a partial license plate number, according to the report.

The man was advised that in the future he should call police immediately so a proper investigation can be done.
