Woman Tries to Switch Price Tags, Police Say

The local woman allegedly tried to take more than $800 in items from Boscov's by switching price tags, police say.

Theft by Unlawful Taking—PSU Brandywine between May 21 and 22—The victim left her eyeglasses in her classroom overnight, according to State Police, and when she returned the next day they were nowhere to be found.

Retail Theft—Boscov's at Granite Run Mall at about 4:45 p.m. on May 16—A 46-year-old Media woman arrived at the store, selected $864.97 worth of items and began switching price tags on the items so she would pay a much lower amount, according to State Police. The store's loss prevention allegedly saw the woman switch the price tags and contacted police, according to State Police.

Theft—Riddle Memorial Hospital on April 27—Two purses were taken from the facility, according to State Police.

Theft—200 block of Martins Lane between April 27 and May 21—Unknown persons stole a coolant dryer out of an air conditioning unit, according to State Police.
