Census: Population Increases for Delaware County

Patch breaks down 2010 Census information.

Delaware County's population increased by just over 8,000 people (1.5 percent) between 2000 and 2010, according to the 2010 Census data released Wednesday by the U.S. Census Bureau. Pennsylvania saw a 3.4 percent increase in population.

The County saw an increase in every demographic except the white population which lost approximately 37,000 people, a decrease of nearly 9 percent.
