Residents can place their trees curbside and a truck will come around to pick it up. There is no designated day for tree disposal.

A tree removal truck will come around the borough as needed and transport the trees to the county composting facility to be recycled.

Christmas tree collection and recycling is done the first two weeks of January.

Residents should make sure all decorations and tinsel are removed and leave the tree curbside. Do not wrap the tree in plastic.

The trees are then chipped for landscaping use.

Place trees curbside and they will be composted.

  • Wednesday, Jan. 4—trees only
  • Wednesday, Jan. 11—trees only
  • Wednesday, Jan. 18—trees and monthly yard waste

Residents in Edgmont Township are responsible for their own trash removal services so please check with your private hauler for Christmas tree disposal details.
