Hearings Continued to Oct. in Ingle Murder Trial

Pretrial hearings continue in the trial of the mother and son accused of killing the family's patriarch in 2008.

Attorneys for the man accused of killing his father in 2008 argued in court recently to separate his trial from that of the co-defendant, his mother, according to the Delaware County Daily Times.

Parth Ingle, 25, and his mother, Bhavnaben Ingle in their Middletown home.

According to State Police, Arunkumar Ingle, 55, was brutally killed in his Middletown residence and his body was found the following day. The Delaware County Medical Examiner ruled the death a homicide and the cause of death was crushing blunt force head injuries with multiple stab wounds to the head and neck and his testicles were mutilated.

Both Bhavnaben Ingle, 52, arrested in February, and Parth Ingle, arrested in December 2011, remain in county prison, held without bail.

The motion to sever the trial between the mother and son is one of many, including a change of venue, according to the Delco Times.

Judge Barry C. Dozer did not yet rule during the pretrial hearing and it is expected to continue on Oct. 4.
