Murder Charges Formally Filed Against Middletown Mom, Son

The mother and son accused of killing a Middletown man in 2008 were formally read the charges filed against each of them on Thursday.

Bhavnaben Ingle, 52, and her son, Parth Ingle, 25, are both accused of killing Arunkumar Ingle, her late husband and his father.

According to State Police, and his body was found the following day. The Delaware County Medical Examiner ruled the death a homicide and the cause of death was crushing blunt force head injuries with multiple stab wounds to the head and neck.

On Thursday, each Ingle was formally arraigned and their charges were read.

Parth Ingle is charged with 16 counts, including murder in the first degree, murder in the third degree, aggravated assault, making terroristic threats, possession of an instrument of crime, tampering with evidence and criminal conspiracy.

Bhavnaben Ingle is charged with 12 counts, including murder in the first degree, murder in the third degree, aggravated assault, making terroristic threats, possession of an instrument of crime, tampering with evidence and criminal conspiracy.

Both Ingles "stood mute" when asked to enter a plea and Judge Barry Dozer entered a plea for the court of "not guilty" for each.

A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for May 2.

Both Bhavnaben Ingle, arrested in February, and Parth Ingle, arrested in December 2011, remain in county prison, held without bail.
