Valley Forge Park Closed Due to Government Shut Down

Ridley Creek State Park is not affected by the shutdown. The Schuylkill River Trail also remains open.

The Betzwood parking lot and trail access of the Valley Forge National Historic Park is closed until further notice due to the federal government shutdown, according to Montgomery County communications.

All access points to and from the park are closed, but the Schuylkill River Trail remains open.

Those using the trail near the Betzwood entrance can use alternate parking at the Pawlings Road trailhead lot and at the Lower Perkiomen Valley Park off of Egypt Road in Oaks.

Ridley Creek State Park in Edgmont Township, however, is not currently affected by the government shutdown and remains open.
