2 Days Left to Register for the Delaware County Senior Games

The Delaware County Senior Games will take place between June 14-24 this year.  The annual games, co presented by the, the Delaware County Department of Parks and Recreation and the Delaware County’s Office of Services for the Aging (COSA), has something for everyone. The games scheduled this year include: Basketball; Nintendo Wii Bowling; Swimming, Shuffleboard; Bowling; Golf; Table Tennis; Horseshoes; Tennis; Track and Field.  There will be awards presented at the Winner’s Circle Reception on July 7 at the Drexelbrook Conference Center. When I say there is something for everyone I mean it. For example, under the category of golf there is an 18 hole game, a nine hole game and miniature golf. Track includes everything from a 1 mile run to a half mile walk. Field includes everything from a long jump to a softball throw.

The events will take place at various Delaware County recreation centers, high schools and senior centers. Bowling, tennis and golf will take place at private centers that have reserved their facilities for the event.  

I’ll be playing the 18 hole golf outing at Paxton Hollow Country Club on the 22nd and would love to meet anyone reading this blog.
