Havertown Teen Guitarist at Media Theatre Jan. 11

Award winning jazz and blues musician is a freshman at Haverford High School.

Havertown’s gifted teen guitarist Jesse Loewy, a freshman at Haverford High School, will showcase his talents at The Media Theatre during the Eternal Rhythm Band concert on Friday night, January 11.

During Loewy’s set audiences will see an accomplished musician who has been playing guitar since the age of three, when he began teaching himself by listening to Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughn. Currently, he studies at Silver Music Studios.

Loewy has participated in Haverford Middle School Jazz Band and participated in the school district’s Jazz Festival, in which he received honors for solo performance in various categories.

At his tender age, he has already been a featured performer on the NBC “10!” Show in Philadelphia and regularly performs with Ben Singleton, Special Brew’d, and the legendary Lonnie Shields. He has recorded a Blues CD, and performed at Briggs Farm Festival in Nescopeck as well as the Rose Tree Park Summer Music Festival in Delaware County.

The much lauded teen guitarist will play at the Eternal Rhythm Band Concert at The Media Theatre on Friday, January 11, along with special guest Shiron Denise O’ Neal.
