SCOTT LANGDON STEPS INTO ROLE OF KING ARTHUR IN MEDIA'S SPAMALOT

Actor Scott Langdon, recently seen in Artistic Director Jesse Cline’s acclaimed production of Mame, is searching for the Holy Grail at The Media Theatre September 25 through November 3. He is stepping into the role of King Arthur in Monty Python’s Spamalot in the Media Music Theatre Company production.

Langdon is no stranger to Philadelphia audiences, having appeared at The Walnut Street Theatre in Love Story, The Music ManEvita, and The Sound of Music as well as in The Arden Theatre’s Baby Case and Bunnicula. At the Lyric Theater of Oklahoma, the Midwestern stage veteran has been seen in classics such as Cabaret, Grand Hotel, and The Who’s Tommy as well as the world premiere of Club Stardust.

He will bring his acclaimed one-man version of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol to The Media Theatre following his run as King Arthur in Spamalot.

Spamalot is the Tony winning musical based on the film Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The show pokes fun at everything from the Arthurian legend to Las Vegas and even skewers Broadway musicals.

In Mame this past spring Langdon worked alongside Tony nominated actress Andrea McArdle and in Spamalot he continues that tradition sharing scenes with Tony nominee Ann Crumb who portrays The Lady of The Lake.
